The Presentation of Addresses
11th November 2016 at Guildhall
At the Silent Ceremony in Guildhall on 11th November 2016, the new Lord Mayor, Alderman Dr Andrew Parmley officially took Office from the late Lord Mayor, Lord Mountevans.
Directly following that ancient and literally 'silent' Ceremony (well, almost) was the Presentation of Addresses ceremony at which gifts and words of congratulation were passed from Livery Companies, Ward Clubs and other Organisations (affiliated in some way with the Civic Team) to their respective Sheriff, or indeed to the Lord Mayor himself.
The Coleman Street Ward Club was represented at this Ceremony by the Chairman Peter O'Donoghue, Hon Sec Richard Fynes, Past Masters Peter Mantell and Ted Jackson and Committee Member David Herbert (see below). They presented to Club President, Alderman and Sheriff, Peter Estlin a framed antique map of the Ward of Coleman Street from 1772 (shown right - click on the image for a larger view).
A letter of thanks has since been received from Sheriff Estlin and this is shown below (click the image for an expanded view).
After the Presentations, there was a short reception in Guildhall at which the Lord Mayor and the Sheriffs were wished good luck for the Lord Mayor's Show the following day. A few pictures from the reception are shown below (click on an image to enlarge and scroll through).
